THE 41st annual tournament took place over five days from last month in Msinga outside Greytown. Local soccer and netball teams participated in the annual tournament that has become a major sporting event in the Msinga area.

Spokesperson for Ilenge Football Association Bongumusa Mkhize said the tournament began when the locals sought to do something constructive in their community which brought the community together that had been divided by tribal fights and community disharmony.

“The 2020 edition was an ambitious and comprehensive as the association had set it out to be, and against some considerable odds from Covid-19 stringent protocols, logistical headaches, to financial setbacks, the Ilenge Football Association pulled off a success story.
