HOSPITALITY studies cover the basic principles and techniques of food preparation and cooking. It equips pupils with skills, knowledge, attitudes and values related to real-world situations in the food and beverage industry.
On Friday,12 Grade 12 hospitality pupils made supper for the governing body at their first meeting. Their food was rated and feedback was given.
The new governing body is being elected this month. Due to Covid-19, the process for nomination and election of the School Governing Body has been amended by the Department of Education. Nomination meetings will be held at the sports pavilion on March 19, at 2pm for Grade 8 and 9 and for Grade 10, 11 and 12 at 3pm. Should a quorum of 15% not be present, a second nomination meeting will be held for Grade 8 and 9 on March 26, and Grade 10, 11, 12 on March 29.
