ACTING on a tip-off from a tracker company, Msinga police last week recovered a stolen Kombi from an unlocked garage in the Msinga area.
A Nissan hard body was also found on the premises.
Both vehicles were stripped of their licence discs and registration numbers.
The Toyota Kombi had been reported stolen in Weenen on the same day and the Nissan in Marianhill in August 2013.
On searching the premises police also recovered an R1 rifle, Astra revolver, 9mm pistol and 20 rounds of live ammunition. They also found six cellphones in the house, handcuffs, three car stereos, six speakers, and other items. A total of R1 558 in cash was also found in the house.
The firearms have been sent to ballistics to ascertain if they had been used in the committing of any crimes in the country.
