SIX men accused in the murder of Somashi High School principal Mzweleni Zuma (46), who was shot in full view of teachers and pupils on Friday, appeared at the Greytown Magistrate’s court on Monday.
The suspects have been charged with possession of unlicensed firearms and carjacking so far. On the murder charge, the Gazette established that the police are still gathering evidence that might link the suspects to the murder. The matter was adjourned until Thursday for bail consideration.
Loved by many, Zuma was described as intelligent and resilient by parents on Monday and his death has been described as a huge loss to uMzinyathi District and the teaching fraternity.
