Sisekelo High bids farewell to maths teacher

IT was a sad day at Sisekelo High School when the principal, staff and the governing body members bid farewell to one of their top mathematician teachers Bayanda Zungu.

Zungu matriculated at Ezifundeni High School at Hluhluwe area, and obtained Bachelor Degree in education. Areas of specialisation include maths, science and technology at University of Zululand. He joined the Department of Education in uMvoti circuit in 2015 at Muntukaboni High School.

He started showing abilities of being a good teacher by obtaining second position in mathematics at a Circuit Management Centre level. He joined Sisekelo High School in 2018 where he taught Grade 12 pupils mathematics and achieved 57,1 (2018) pass rate. In 2019 Zungu scooped first position as an outstanding maths teacher in uMvoti circuit, achieving 100% maths matric pass rate.
