OVER the last few weeks the top end of Pine Street has seen a makeover of the Newmarch building opposite Greytown Drugstore, with Greytown talking about the new venture between the Elges and Turner families, The Market. The building is known by many of our older residents as the Newmarch radio and TV supply and repair business which brought the first colour TVs to the town, and for those even older, the cinema before it.
The interior has been stripped back to the original brickwork and teak floors laid in the 1950s have been brought back to life, with plenty of colour and light inside, this is a welcome shopping alternative for residents and will help to bring a fresh new look to the top end of Pine Street. The business aims to source the best quality foods available in the Midlands, with a focus on supporting local farmers and entrepreneurs, providing a place for Greytonian’s to buy (or sell) something special; a mouth-watering roast for the weekend or all the ingredients for a classy summer braai.
The Market welcomes enquiries about their range and are on the lookout for fresh produce or top quality home industry products, so if you want to know more, then contact Dips on 066 570 3280 or send a What’sApp to be added to their group keeping you updated on new products and gifting ideas. – Supplied.
