Tombstone vandalism

The vandalised tombstone.
The vandalised tombstone.

LAST year, in March, I discovered that my late husband’s tombstone at Gijima Cemetery was vandalised. Aluminium and other accessories were ripped off and I reported the incident to the municipality and they promised to get back to me. I then secured it with palisades to keep it safe.

Last week, on January 12, I found out the tombstone was vandalised for a second time as it was not in situ.

I'm really disappointed with this matter as it is clear that there is no security at the place.

I would be happy if the municipality could look into the security matter concerning our loved ones final resting place.
