Patrick O’Sullivan displays his magnificent trophy.

PATRICK and Damien O’Sullivan, and Ian Stanley from Mooi River, teamed up with a Bishopstowe club to compete in this year’s SA Championships in a dry and dusty Bethal club.

Bishopstowe were eventually runners-up in the A Division, but managed to play some enterprising polocrosse over the weekend. In recognition of this Patrick was awarded the silver tray Paul Oldfield trophy for the most deserving number.

More good news for Umvoti Polocrosse is that Jacquie Minnaar has been selected as a travelling reserve for the national South African side to tour Australia next April. Congratulations to Jacquie, who is following her mother Caroline’s footsteps, with regards to the SA selection.
