THE Sunflower Fund is an NGO that creates awareness about the critical need for blood stem cell donors and shows you how to become a donor.
They fund-raise to pay for the R2 500 genetic test required to register you as a donor on the South African Bone Marrow Registry.
For patients diagnosed with a blood disorder or blood cancers such as leukaemia their only chance of survival is finding a matching blood stem cell donor.
Life is a Garden is running a campaign on behalf of South African Nurseries Association to raise funds and awareness for The Sunflower Fund.
Purchase any product that has a sticker on and support The Sunflower Fund, with all proceeds being donated to the fund.
Gloria Doepke, Mimi Drummond-Hay and Bongani Mkhumbuzi and the team at Hingham Nursery are “Gardening for The Sunflower Fund” and have pledged to donate all proceeds of purchased stickers to The Sunflower Fund.
