PATENSIE households with a combined income of R3 200 or less are invited to register and re-register for free basic services (Equitable Shares) from Kouga Municipality this March.
The municipal registration team will be at the Patensie offices from March 19 to 29 to assist residents from Wards 10 and 13.
Kouga Mayor Elza van Lingen says registration for households from Ward 10, including Ramaphosa Village, would take place at the Patensie municipal office on March 19, 20 and 22. The team will be there from 08:30 to 15:00.
Registration for Ward 13 (Patensie town) will take place from March 26 to 29, at the same time and venue.
“Residents who already receive Equitable Shares need to re-register during this time so that they continue receiving the free services. New applications are also invited,” she says.
The Mayor says all applicants are required to complete the application form personally.
The following documents must also be supplied: municipal account and prepaid metre number, ID document (husband and wife), proof of income (bank statement, pay slip or pension card), sworn affidavit if unemployed, proof of usufruct (if owner is deceased, a letter of authority and death certificate).
