Report back to communities

A year ago, on 19 August 2016, Kouga’s new Council was inaugurated under the leadership of the Democratic Alliance (DA).

One of the promises we made, was that we would govern in an open and transparent manner.

In line with that commitment we would like to give communities an overview of the ups and downs we have had to contend with during our first year in governance.

While it has by no means been an easy task to right the wrongs we inherited, good progress has been made. We are especially grateful to our communities and stakeholder groups for taking hands with us to get Kouga back on track.

The official Annual Report for the 2016/2017 year is also being prepared and will be open for inspection by communities.
