Shoe surprise for St Patrick’s learners

FIFTY learners from St Patrick’s Primary at Humansdorp will start the new school year with a spring in their step.

They received a special surprise when they went to collect their school reports last week - brand new school shoes from Kouga Mayor Horatio Hendricks, who is also the ward councillor for the area.

He bought the school shoes through the Ward Development Fund.

“We wanted to give the shoes to the learners before the holiday started so that their parents and care-givers would not have to worry about this over the festive season,” he explained.

“I am grateful that I could make this contribution through the fund and wish all the young learners a blessed holiday.

“Rest up well and make the most of the 2019 school year.”
