LOCAL canoeing star Nosipho Mthembu will head into the KwaZulu-Natal Canoe Marathon Championships later this month in high spirits following her recent win at the Momentum G-Sports Awards.

The KZN Canoe Champs is scheduled to take place at the Camps Drift in Pietermaritzburg on Saturday and Sunday, September 26 and 28.

Two weeks ago, the 19-year-old Mthembu from Shongweni received the Minister’s Recognition of Excellence award.
