IF you’ve been stealing water from the Msunduzi Local Municipality, beware — they are coming for you.

The City has decided to go after businesses and residents who have been consuming water without paying. Msunduzi’s executive committee (Exco) has resolved that the City will embark on a campaign to audit water meters across Pietermaritzburg.

Municipal manager, Madoda Khathide, speaking at the Exco meeting last Thursday, said there had been talk of the audit campaign but Msunduzi could not do the job.
