Fun ‘race’ set to take City of Choice employees by storm

PREPARE to “waste-basket” your workwear and abandon your files, because it’s almost time to fill faces with smiles.

Just zip on your zany and assemble your squad! It’s time for the PCB O.T.T. Enterprise Relay powered by Xtec, Liberty Midlands Mall and African Bank.

This is not a serious running event, and it is definitely not about winning and, because of this, it has a rather unusual format, which includes a business obstacle course (of sorts).

In order to get the necessary stamps on your running numbers, participants will have to do an activity before being able to get back on the road.

This fun networking and team event is in its eighth year, and we’re pleased to say that previously we’ve had over 1 000 people attending, braaing and socialising in the main arena at the Showgrounds. This year, to add some mega-thrill, we’re taking you on an urban adventure at the Liberty Midlands Mall.

We will be handing out plenty of prizes, quite arbitrarily. In fact, we’re pretty into an elite form of exercising called prancercising (a cross between yoga, CrossFit and Japanese horseback archery). So, to encourage you to aspire to having the cardiovascular ability of a deer combined with the gracefulness of a jazz instructor, we’ll be rewarding the most fabulous prancercisers.

There’ll be fountains to skip through

And selfies to take;

Some ramps to slide down -

Some places to skate;

Grafitti-ing and abseils

to add some street cred;

(alternative chicken-runs

for those stricken by dread)

You don’t want to miss out

On such fun to be had;

If you don’t have a team

You’ll feel really bad...

It’s the most fun you can have while working — think about it, you are officially being given permission to play!

The PCB O.T.T. Enterprise Relay is for everyone and it’s open to everyone, so contact the PCB — Supplied.
