REUNION Day, the most anticipated event on the Pietermaritzburg Girls’ High School calender, saw 300 old girls come together and reflect on their days at the school, talk about their current “loves”.
They also gave pupils sound advice.
Eight former classes from 1962 and six past head girls addressed the girls.
“Be safe, be crazy and don’t forget to enjoy life. It goes by in a flash,” said 1967 head girl, Jen Page.
After the talks, tea and treats were served, catered by the
consumers studies teachers and Grade 11 pupils.
A tour of the school was then conducted where the old girls saw the improvements and progress the school had made.
