“NOTHING is impossible if you believe.”

These are the words of Mr Teen KwaZulu-Natal 2019, Scelo Dlamini who has been selected as a finalist for Mr Teen United Nations 2019 that will take place in Johannesburg on September 1.

Dlamini was announced as a finalist on Saturday in Johannesburg.

Speaking to Echo he said he is confident that he will make the city proud by winning this competition. He said when he was announced as a finalist he was not surprised because he expected it.

“I feel excited and confident that I will do well in this competition. When I saw the competition online I thought to myself that this is my chance to grow in the career of modelling and make my city proud. That is why I entered. Whenever I enter a competition I always make sure that I am giving it my best and I am confident about what I am doing. I have even started doing research and preparing for this pageant.

“I know that the competition will be tough but I will give it my best,” he said.

However, in order for him to attend this competition he needs to raise R3 000 in cash that will cover his travelling expenses to Johannesburg for the grand finale.

“This is one of the most prestigious pageants that is hosted annually and I would love to be part of it. I am pleading with anyone who can assist me in making my dream come true. I will do everything in my power to make sure that I win,” he said.

The winners of the competition will then represent South Africa at the United Pageant 2019, which will take place in India later this year.
