THE Msunduzi Association of Residents, Ratepayers and Civics (MARRC) has formed a task team to investigate the City’s billing problems.

Convener Anthony Waldhausen said they want to help those with inflated bills, victims of illegal disconnections and those needing guidance on how the payment agreements work if they need to settle outstanding debt, as well as increase public awareness on how qualifying households can benefit by registering as indigent. He said these are just a few issues that the umbrella body has been getting complaints on and they want to see how they can help.

“We find that sometimes people have been back and forth to the A.S. Chetty building but they haven’t got any help and they’ve now just given up on getting the problem sorted.
