THE narrow bridge in Connor Road is not clearly visible, particularly at night.
A large number of motorists use this bridge every day and many heavy motor vehicles, including buses, also use the road.
The bridge is also used by pedestrians, both residents and workers alike. The area in the vicinity is poorly lit, so street lighting in the area must be improved.
Yellow and white reflectors should be fixed on either side of the bridge rails, making it clearly visible at night and in the wee hours of the morning.
Steel barriers should be erected on all four sides of the bridge to ensure, in the event of an accident, that no one lands in the spruit below.
I urge the relevant Msunduzi authority to attend to this as a matter of urgency.
