ANOTHER week, another loss for newly-appointed Maritzburg United coach Muhsin as Chippa United added more misery for the men in blue, beating them 2-0 at home.
The Team of Choice now have gone five games without a win, losing all those games while new coach Ertugral has now his first four games in charge.
Thabiso Kutumela managed to spurn his chance in the 24th minute which would have put United 1-0 up, receiving a through ball at the far post not applying the finishing touch.
Ertugral then had another headache as he was forced to substitute Makgalwa who picked up an injury in the 26th minute and brought on striker Judas Moseamedi as his replacement.
By the half-way mark, United were lucky to have the score remain goalless as the Chilli Boys dominated most of the play.
Chippa then started the second half just how they finished the first, but this time managing to find the back of the net as Tebogo Tlolane made it 1-0 with a from 20 yards that found the back of the top corner net in the 53rd minute.
Any thoughts of a comeback were quashed when Chippa doubled the lead after Andile Mbenyane flicked a header that deflected off Rushnie De Reuck and went into the back post to make it 2-0.
United now find themselves at the bottom of the PSL with just 11 points after 18 games and only one win for the season. Maritzburg United’s next challenge will be going up against Witbank Spurs in the Nedbank Cup this Sunday.
