THE creators of the Imibala Arts Festival are currently running an open call audition for up-and-coming Nelson Mandela Bay artists, ahead of this year’s festival.
Pachamama Project Productions, a start-up live music events company, which was founded by CEO and world musician Tarynne Swarts, created the multicultural music and arts festival to boost the local music industry and develop emerging artists in the Nelson Mandela Bay and Eastern Cape region.
This year, the festival will take place on July 28 in celebration of Nelson Mandela’s 100th birthday.
Hosted in collaboration with the Mandela Bay Development Agency, volume three of the Imibala Arts Festival has called on all local aspiring bands, musicians, poets, dancers, visual artists, spoken word artists and fashion designers to audition for a spot. Interested artists are asked to send a link of their work and a short biography to imibalafestevents@ outlook.com or to contact 076 967 7363.
The deadline for admissions will be on May 22.
