Clean water brings relief to Bay communities

ANSWERING the call for assistance from the drought-stricken Nelson Mandela Bay community, Islamic Relief South Africa, in association with the Al Fidaa Foundation and Willowton Oil, recently delivered 34 000 litres of clean water to help local families.

In the community of Gro Gro, 250 homes had been without water for more than two weeks, and in Greenbushes, the community of 400 homes have only one tap that is shared among the residents of the settlement.

The water, delivered by Islamic Relief South Africa, the Al Fidaa Foundation and Willowton Oil, was a welcome relief for them.
