clubs Birdlife EC: On Saturday’s all-day outing various routes will be visited during the Co-ordinated Avifaunal Road Count (CAR). This is the nationwide scheme to census numbers of large ground birds on set routes. Also crows and raptors. Target birds: Secretarybird, Kori, Ludwigs and Denhams Bustards, Blue Crane. Hiking: The Voetsac Hiking Club runs both weekend hikes and day walk on a regular basis. Longer hikes are held several times a year. The day walks are held on Saturdays. For more info contact Trevor Lloyd at 041 368 3761 (all hours).
