THE annual 2015 Christmas concert presented by the Feather Market Organ Society will take place on Wednesday, December 9, at 1pm in the Feather Market centre.

The guest artist will be the Pretoria opera tenor, Dewald von Solms, who will sing a wide variety of songs, including “I’ll walk with God”, “White Christmas” and “O Holy Night”.

The grand organ will be played by organists Sulani Heunis, Arnu Oelofse, Devandré Boonzaaier and Albert Troskie.

Christmas music will be played on the oboe and saxophone by André Visser.

The well-known Arbitrio and Despatch Male Voice Choirs, will be heard in lovely music, including “Silent Night”, “Our Father”, and “Once in Royal David’s City”.

Two other choirs will be the Uitenhage Sunshine Choir and a massed choir of more than 100 voices, joining forces with Dewald von Solms in a performance of “The Holy City”.

The Brass Band of Uitenhage’s Rose Lane Church will also take part in this concert at which funds will be raised for charity.

Admission is R40. For pensioners it is only R30. Learners pay R10.

No advance booking. Tickets at the door. The concert will last approximately 75 minutes.
