A GROUP of local residents will host a fun day this month as part of their Give a Little Love project in aid of the House of Resurrection in Salsoneville.
The House of Resurrection is a haven for orphaned children infected and affected by HIV/Aids. It currently houses 34 children and 11 caregivers.
The Give a Little Love project has been on the scene for six years.
“This project is all about ‘Moving for Good’ and forms part of our summative assessment,” said project team member Shamiela Gabaatlhole.
The aim of the fun day is to spread awareness on HIV/Aids, how it infects and affects individuals and the community, and to show the HIV/Aids infected and affected children of the House of Resurrection that they are cared for by the community.
“No child should miss the pleasure of having a hug and being truly cared for,” Gabaatlhole said.
The members of the Give a Little Love project are currently looking for sponsors for the project.
They will host the fun day on August 26 at the House of Resurrection in Salsoneville at 9am.
