New library, scholar patrol equipment donated to school

The Republiek Primary School last week received a refurbished library and brand new scholar patrol equipment. The scholar patrol equipment was donated in light of the tragic death of Republiek learner L-Jay Peterson (9), who passed away last year when he was run over while crossing the road at the school. The new equipment will make the scholar patrol more visible, which should aid in preventing another tragedy. The donations were made possible by the Collegiate Girls’ High School Interact Club and various sponsors. The new library was dedicated to the late Helen Isaacs, a former teacher at the school.
