Partnership between the police and the community yielded success when illegal possessions and drugs were seized in Grassy Park during an operation in the area on Thursday.

This comes after a tip-off was given on drugs being transported in a bakkie to a residence in Blackbird Avenue, Parkwood.

The bakkie was tracked, spotted, pulled over and searched.

A firearm, ammunition, two magazines, drugs with an estimated street value of R80 000 and an undisclosed amount of cash were confiscated.

A 45-year-old man faces charges of illegal possession.
