An alleged drug deader was reportedly arrested shortly after a deal.

Metro Police arrested a 32-year-old suspect for dealing drugs in Observatory last Friday.

According to Metro Police spokesperson, Sergeant Ruth Solomons, officers were patrolling when they saw three men exchanging goods at Rochester Park at around 11:15.

“They stopped one of the men and a search revealed four medium-sized bags of compressed dagga hidden in his socks and R550 in cash,” Solomons says.

She says officers also found 45 units of unga hidden in a plastic bag when they searched the bench where he had been sitting.

The suspect was then detained at Woodstock Police Station.
