There's a new penguin in town in town and he needs a name.
In the meantime, this friendly penguin is called K and will act as an extension of Kfm's extension of the station's marketing activations arm.
He was unveiled on the brand's social media channels and with community newspapers this week.
Kids of the Cape are called upon to help the station finalise K's ID card for his first day of work at Kfm 94.5.
Primary school kids across the Cape are called to get involved in a competition to name the mascot and design his unique Kfm 94.5 T-shirt.
Some of K's characteristics include his cheerfulness, warmth, a little mischievousness (but mostly playfulness), a little shyness or bashfulness... and he also expresses himself through music tracks, body language, and hand and other gestures.
Kfm's K motto is: "Dance like no-one's watching" and his pet hates include "adulting" and plastic waste.
Kfm's marketing manager, Saskia Hickey says they are asking primary school learners - and by extension their schools - to get involved by helping them give K a proper name and identity.
To enter the competition, interested participants need to grad the latest copies of People's Post or TygerBurger newspapers and fill out the entry form, fill it in with their T-shirt design and WhatsApp a picture of their entry to 079 519 7374.
Participants stand a chance to win a Toy Kingdom trolley dash worth R5 000 for themselves, a R10 000 Toy Kingdom Voucher for their school and a Kfm Mornings live broadcast at their school.
The competition will close at 09:00 on Thursday 10 May and the winner will be announced on Kfm Mornings with Darren, Sherlin and Sibs on the morning of Friday 18 May.
