The second Bakgat Môreson Plaasfees promises to be a weekend filled with fun and entertainment for the whole family.
The weekend festival takes place at Moreson Farm in Malmesbury from Friday 27 to Sunday 29 October.
The festival kicks off on Friday evening with students from the Riana van Wyk School of Music. The Campbells are up next as the night’s headliner, before a DJ takes over to wind the evening down. The Saturday morning will start with a 5km fun walk, after which visitors can browse through some of the arts and crafts and food stalls on offer. There will also be an opportunity to enjoy the model aeroplane demonstration and to participate in the tug-of-war competition. Gun enthusiasts will also be able to test their aim with clay pigeon shooting. Eventful Parties will be setting up their fun park for the kids with amusement rides, pony rides and a petting zoo.
On stage, Jaco Losgelaat will get the day started before handing over to Sam and Calla, Bottomless Coffee Band, Klawer, Elandre Schwartz and Twee. Rooies will be the MC for the day and will also be performing. The rest of the evening will see star-studded performances by Desmond Wells, Dozi and Kurt Darren (see below.) Sunday’s programme will start with a church service led by Warren Elliot, after which the youngsters can enjoy Lollos on stage. Country legend Tommy Dell is up on Sunday afternoon, followed by Stephan Visagie.
