Ward councillors Aslam Cassiem, Bonita Jacobs and George March where amongst the City of Cape Town officials to celebrate the occasion with the
excited beneficiaries.

“As part of the City, to guarantee land rights and full property security, the City has embarked on a process to ensure beneficiaries are properly provided with title deeds. These beneficiaries were invited to verify their details in order to initiate the process and get their title deeds. I delivered all the invites to these residents a day prior to the handover, to inform them that the City will be giving them their houses.

“ It was an amazing experience how happy these people were. I am very glad to have seen their excitement while telling them they will now own their houses,” explains Cassiem.
