Seniors will welcome spring uniquely

The Silvertown Baptist Church seniors club will be welcoming the spring season in a fun-filled way when they have their annual Spring and Wellness Day on Thursday 5 September, where there will be plenty of “infotainment”. The event will take place at the church hall, from 10:00 until 13:00.

The club’s chairperson, Sandra Adams, says this year’s event is going to be bigger. He adds that they have invited seniors from areas such as Langa, Manenberg, Gugulethu and the greater Heideveld. “The police and ward councillor will be in attendance and there will also be a nurse doing some tests such as blood tests. The club meets every Thursdays for breakfast and some activities,” says Adams.
