FOUR people were killed and one was critically injured during a head-on collision in Paddock on Sunday. According to Margate SAPS spokesperson Captain Gerald Mfeka the accident happened on Sunday and involved a car and bakkie. Three occupants of the car were trapped and had to be freed using the jaws of life.
“The two passengers in the car died and the driver died at Murchison Hospital later that afternoon. The two occupants of the bakkie were transferred to Port Shepstone Regional Hospital where the wife died,” said Mfeka.
The travellers in the bakkie are believed to be from the Hibberdene area and those in the car were from KwaMbotho near Harding.
