Inviting men and women in uniform

DURING the festive season there are men and women in uniform who have given up these days to serve and protect our community.

They could easily have stayed at home with family and friends, but because they have a duty to perform they are away from their homes and loved ones at this time.

As the community we expect this, but have we ever said “thank you” to any one of these people.

The Port Shepstone
Baptist Church, in conjunction with the emergency services chaplaincy, would like to show our appreciation to these wonderful folk.

On Friday, 18 December between 8pm and 10pm, all people in uniform are invited to the church, opposite the regional hospital, to have tea or coffee with a muffin.

This is some small way of saying thank you to the fire department, the ambulance department (provincial and private services), the traffic department, the South
African Police Services, NSRI and security companies.

Pop into the church, you are all most welcome.
