IT is very sad indeed to hear about the shooting in Las Vegas, U.S. This is another incident among many other terror attacks that occur in that great land.
When I see this, it makes me think for a moment, if this were to happen in South Africa, the international community would have a field day and deem Africa as the unsafest place on the planet.
The honest truth is, Africa is becoming the safest place to be in the world right now. Yes we have flaws and occurrences like any other country or continent, however, we are safer.
Our flaws are not being able to unite for the common man, not being able to unite for our women and children, but we are getting there.
This is the time to put race issues aside, let history not repeat itself so that we can move forward.
It does not matter any more if you are black, white, coloured or Asian. Let us focus on the small communities, the undeveloped areas that still have a touch of poverty. The money is here, the world began here. We are Africans.
