RAMSGATE Lions held a Mandjiedans over the weekend. A few families attended, but the turnout was smaller than expected.

As part of the evening’s entertainment, Ramsgate Lions DJ Lion Wessel Pretorius played music for guests.

Lion Rob Hendry said the turnout was not so good, but they hope more people will attend their next dance, which is planned for the end of March.

“We did typical South African family things - the manne chatted on their own, while the wives chatted among themselves.

“Other families were on the veranda as it was cooler there,” said Hendry

He said it was pleasing to have Ramsgate Spar staff at the event.
