Man turns himself in for drug-related case

THE second wanted suspect in a drug-related case is expected to appear in court on Friday after he handed himself over to police in Margate.

The 26-year-old man was charged by Detective Warrant Officer Herman Pienaar from the Ugu cluster drug task team on Wednesday.

The first suspect, a 34-year-old man, was arrested in Tin Town Gamalakhe in July.

The man’s bail application was denied and he will appear in court again with his co-accused on Friday.

Public Order Policing members, Constable Mzwakhe Makana, Constable Raphael Smithwick and Constable Travis Dickens found the first suspect in possession of 11 parcels, containing 3 300 capsules of heroin and 125 mandrax tablets.
