AMkholombe woman, Tholakele Mendwana (35), has been arrested for dealing in dagga.
Last Wednesday Warrant Officer Patrick Gosling of the Port Shepstone Public Order Police (POP) project team received information about a woman in possession of a large quantity of dagga, and with members of his team, went to her residence on a farm in Mkholombe at 2pm.
The officers searched the premises and found eight bags of dagga weighing in excess of 35 kilograms.
Police spokesperson Colonel-Lieutenant Zandra Wiid said the bags were seized as exhibits.
“The woman appeared in the Port Shepstone Magistrate’s Court last Thursday. The case was remanded until 8 September,” said Wiid
