THE Port Shepstone SAPS was crowned Best Station of the Year this year at the National Excellence Awards held in the Durban Inkosi Albert Luthuli Interna- tional Conference Centre last Friday.

The station also won the Best Station award during the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Excellence Awards function last year.

Station commander Brigadier Sandra Nala, who accepted the award, said their secret recipe is maintaining amicable relations within the station as well as with the outside community.

She said it is important for them as a station to also acknowledge and celebrate their success so as to keep staff motivated.
