Stick to traffic regulations

IT’S difficult to say whether there are more accidents on the roads during recent months as the roads are busier or whether we tend to take more notice of it as the festive season approaches.

About a week ago, while travelling on the toll road from Ramsgate to Port Shepstone, the driver of a SUV was driving recklessly, ignoring simple rules of the road.

He didn’t indicate when changing lanes, he overtook on a blind rise and often over solid lines.

What’s more he had passengers and wasn’t only putting his and their lives at risk, but the lives of numerous other people who were travelling on the road at the same time.

Often, these accidents can be avoided if the road regulations are followed. It really is that simple.

The roads are not to blame, in most cases it’s bad drivers who are to blame for accidents.

If you’re on the road this holiday, stick to the rules, and safe travelling.

A good driver
