New Covenant Fellowship North (NCF North) is a fast growing, non-denominational, multiracial church led by Pastors Mervyn and Michelle Jean-Louis.
With two other campuses in Tongaat and Verulam, the founding pastors fervently believe in the principle of legacy and believe that God has called NCF North to impact the North Coast of KwaZulu-Natal.
Under the apostolic covering of Dr Basil Tryon, Pastors Mervyn and Michelle founded NCF North on 17 July 2011.
Having been based at 64 Manor Drive for the last year, the multi-location church purchased the “Old Stanger Christian Centre” earlier this year, making 77 Old Main Road its permanent home.

A team of hard working, committed members and staff, together with Pastor Mervyn and campus pastors Seagan and Shevon Kotiah, worked tirelessly since the beginning of May to open its doors for the first service on May 7.
Since then the work has not stopped in order to ensure that this facility would be state of the art for the community of Stanger and its surroundings.
The official dedication of the building has been set for 1 July 2017. This dedication will be conducted by Dr Basil Tryon, together with visiting speaker Pastor Claude Carrello from Australia, who flows in the ministry of healing.

Dr James Van Zyl, senior Pastor and founder of the Stanger Christian Centre, started his ministry with his wife Meg in the late 1970’s.
At the beginning of 1979 Dr van Zyl who was in his fifth season as mayor of Stanger, district surgeon and medical officer of health, and Meg a pharmacist, both desired to see God restoring life to the broken, both physically and spiritually.
After what has been described as a life changing prophecy from Rev Roger Teele in the Stanger Town Hall, Dr Van Zyl’s ministry became synonymous with testimonies of miraculous healings.
People flocked in to be prayed for by Dr Van Zyl, who was fondly known as the “praying doctor”.
This is the legacy that drew Apostle Mervyn Jean-Louis to the purchasing of this building.

This altar of healing that was established at Stanger Christian Centre is the foundation that Apostle Mervyn wishes to build on.
With a deep love for people, desiring them to live the abundant life that God has for them, Apostle Mervyn’s ministry is focused on unlocking the truth of God’s Word, believing that signs, wonders and miracles will follow the preached Word of God.
For this reason, after the building dedication, Pastor Claude Carrello who is the senior pastor of C3 Church Rockingham, facilitating 500+ churches within C3 Church Australia, will do a three day Healing Crusade at NCF North - Stanger from the 2-4 July.
This healing crusade aligns perfectly with the heritage of this particular building and the vision of Pastors Mervyn and Michelle Jean-Louis.

NCF North Church has set in motion intentional plans to impact the community of Stanger and is prepared to work hard to make a difference in people’s lives.
That is central to the vision of this dynamic ministry.
