THE letter from “Concerned Public”, supporting the erection of the proposed new mall, in your edition of last week refers.
The writer questions the composition and legitimacy of the association.
At a meeting convened by community members on 15 October an interim committee was elected, tasked in the main, to draft a constitution and attend to all things necessary to hold a public launch of the association.
For the information of “Concerned Public” and your readers, the public meeting held on 5 November was given coverage in the local media and the public was invited to attend.
Another public meeting is due to be held shortly and plans are in progress to hold an official launch to which the public will once again be invited to attend. These will also be publicised in the local media.
Perhaps “Concerned Public” and his supporters will remove their cloak of nom de plume and see it fit to attend, as all concerned citizens should.
