Durban – Two men were killed on Saturday afternoon after the driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a bridge in Sasolburg, an ER24 spokesperson said on Sunday.
ER24's Russel Meiring said the men were killed after their bakkie crashed off the R57 into the R59 bridge.
“It is believed that the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to crash into the bridge and eject both occupants,” said Meiring.
He said the bodies of the two men were found lying in the middle of the road, a short distance from the wrecked vehicle.
Meiring said paramedics assessed both men but they had already died.
The cause of the accident was being investigated.
