Alfonzo Pietropaolo has welcomed the lengthy sentence handed down to his brother, former Bank of Athens treasurer Vincent Pietropaolo, who was convicted of killing his elderly father and estranged wife more than seven months apart in 2017.

Speaking to reporters shortly after his brother was sentenced to life in prison, Alfonzo said he was "happy" about the sentence, adding that the "judge made the right decision and did a terrific job".
