Self-proclaimed prophet Shepherd Bushiri has had a few brushes with the law over the years.

Currently, Bushiri, his wife Mary and co-accused Landiwe Ntlokwane are in custody until Monday pending their bail application in the Pretoria Central Magistrate's Court.

They appeared in court this week on charges of fraud, theft and money laundering.
