ANC, Ramaphosa double down on Ukraine fence-sitting as Pandor faces the music over Russia comments

The ANC's international relations subcommittee is expected to throw the book at International Relations and Cooperation Minister Naledi Pandor during a meeting on Monday after she raised the ire of President Cyril Ramaphosa for a statement calling for Russia to immediately withdraw from Ukraine. 

Insiders said Ramaphosa had doubled down on his position that South Africa called for mediation amid Russia's invasion of Ukraine and insisted his government would not take sides in the matter.
