The Black Lawyers Association (BLA) believes South Africa's demographics aren't reflected in the membership of bar associations and the legal profession.

"The legal profession is not yet transformed. The bar associations and the entire profession does not reflect the demographics of the country. There is still a lack of access by black and black female legal practitioners and [the] retention thereof," BLA president Mashudu Kutama told News24 this week.
