Former Gauteng police commissioner Deliwe de Lange, who was arrested in connection with so-called blue light tender fraud, has opened a case of perjury and defeating the ends of justice against national commissioner General Khehla Sitole.

However, national police spokesperson Brigadier Vishnu Naidoo told News24 that Sitole had not been made aware of any investigations against him.

He said Sitole was "confident that there are no criminal cases that he would need to answer to".
