ANC MP and former State Security Minister Bongani Bongo has accused then evidence leader in the parliamentary inquiry into state owned enterprises advocate Ntuthuzelo Vanara, of letting the "furore boil" around his bribery claims.
"You laid the complaint. The media reported on it and you were well aware of it. You let it boil," advocate Mike Hellens SC, Bongo's counsel argued in court on Tuesday.
Bongo has pleaded not guilty to a corruption charge emanating from an accusation that he tried to disrupt a parliamentary inquiry into state capture at Eskom on 10 October 2017.
