Covid-19: Elderly losing the will to live in lockdown 'prison'

Elderly people who live in retirement homes may just as well have been jailed in solitary confinement since stringent government regulations were put in place last March ostensibly to protect them from Covid-19.

Almost a year down the line, these measures appear to be harming several elderly people and create a breeding ground for mental illness, warn social workers, psychologists and those caring for them.
